Seven ways to stop wasting plastic

Text and drawings by Frits Ahlefeldt

Drawing of seven ways to start taking action against too much plastic use:

1. Stop
Avoid buying things like one time use water bottles, plastic wrapped ready-meals etc.

2. Re-use
Consider alternatives to plastic, and
buy best quality, long lasting products

3. Recycle materials
Recycle when the product is no longer needed or warn out

4. Shop wisely
Buy in ways that minimize the use of plastic and helps re-cycling

Speak up
Talk and be open about the ways you reduce your use of plastic and say no to single use plastic cups even in situations where it would be easier just to fit in.

5. Take action
Learn about how to best help solve the challenges and actively innovate and push new solutions

7. Practice simple living
Go hiking for a week in nature – Carry all your things, and find out how little you really need – And what matters most
