Plastic pollution from rivers

One of the most easy to stop sources of plastic ocean pollution might be to stop plastic from floating out in the oceans from the rivers. At least it is much more easy to stop the pollution of plastic in the oceans before it reach them.

Several countries experiment with stopping plastic this way before it reach the sea, by adding nets and by other means. But still today it is only and sadly a tiny fraction of plastic that is prevented from entering and polluting the seven major oceans of our planet

Most of our ocean plastic pollution comes from inland and a floating into the oceans from the rivers. Different techniques are used to limit it. But only a small fraction of it is stopped today (2019 )
